Gloria Elena Hightower

Hightower, Gloria, 87, of Brandon, entered into heaven on Saturday December 18, 2019. She worked

as a Computer programer and analyst for TRW, before retiring in 1982. Never one to be idle, Gloria became an Avon Lady, achieving the high-earning distinction of President’s Club. She was an devoted member of Bell Shoals Baptist Church, serving as a Greeter for Sunday morning worship, and a group leader in the Morning Glories widow’s class and faithful short term missionary.

Gloria is preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Jessie Sanz, husbands Johnny Stephens, Gerald Armstrong and Lennie Hightower, sister-in-law Harriet Sanz and step children Cindy and Les.

She is survived by her brother Charles Sanz, three children, Diane Owens (Rick), Barbara Perkins (Jay) and David Stephens (Lisa). Eight cherished Grandchildren, Bill Owens (Sarah), Jon Owens (Christy), Brian Perkins (Krissy), Jennifer Sylvia (Glen), Summer Braxton (Andy), Daniel Stephens (Seana), Christie Brooks, and Justin Stephens. Seventeen Great-Grandchildren, three Great-Great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends. She is dearly missed by all.

Gloria’s passion was world missions. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in her honor, funding mission journeys at Bell Shoals Baptist Church, or your own home church. Matthew 28:19-20

A celebration of life service will be held at Bell Shoals Baptist Church (Brandon Campus)
