Gloria Nuccio of Valrico, Florida, passed away peacefully on August 12, 2026, at the age of 87. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Josephine Campoamor, and her husband, Vincent L. Nuccio.
Gloria was born on August 9, 1939, in Tampa, Florida. After graduating from Brandon High School, she attended the University of Tampa, where she majored in education and music. She was an elementary school teacher in Hillsborough County for more than 30 years.
Gloria enjoyed playing the piano, painting, and spending time with her family. She was known for her loving heart and generosity and loved her family more than anything.
Gloria is survived by her daughters, Louise Fernandez and Michele Batchelder (Buddy); stepson, Vincent Nuccio (Bee); grandchildren, Devin Fernandez (Ryan), Derrick Fernandez (Kayla), Erika Hannaford (Michael), Emily Spagnola (Austin), Ashley Schwamm (Ryan), Stephen Nuccio (Ashley), and Adam Nuccio; and great-grandchildren, Aiden, Brantley, Brooklyn, Emmie, and Scottie.
She is also survived by her brother, Joe Campoamor (Margaret), and many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on August 31, 2026, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Rotary Club in Brandon.
