HEADRICK, Glorya M, 89, of Brandon, FL, went to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on July 1, 2018. Born on January 1, 1929, she moved to the Tampa Bay area in her early 20s. She was a 60-year resident of Brandon, FL, in the same house in which she raised six children.
Most importantly, Glorya was a Christian. She was a member of St Matthews Anglican Church. She loved her church and church family, but she loved the Lord above all. She studied her Bible every day and carefully prayed from her Valley of Vision collection.
She was a fierce and loving mother, and was kind to those her children brought home. She was a good friend to many. Glorya was definitely a force with which to be reckoned and this can be confirmed by each one of her surviving children; all of whom will miss her very much--until their obits are written. Glorya worked in the carpet and flooring wholesale business with her longtime friend, Yvonne Garcia, until she was 78 years of age. Her dedication and work ethic was always beyond reproach.
She is predeceased by her daughter Jamie Boyett, and is survived by her other children; Alona Smith, Robin Smith (Glenn), Stanley Headrick Jr., LeeAnn Wilty (Mark), Christopher Headrick (Joyce), and brother Rocco Bruno. Glorya had seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be Sunday, July 8, 2018 at St Matthews Anglican Church, 10701 Bloomingdale Ave, Riverview, FL; burial to follow at Hillsboro Memorial Gardens, 2323 W Brandon Blvd, Brandon, FL. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in her name to St Matthews Anglican Church. P.O. Box 1173, Riverview FL 33568. This was one of her last directives.
