Grace was a devoted wife for 68 years to her husband Milton and loving mother of four sons as well as countless other “kids” who all called her Mom.
Grace was born in Raleigh, N.C. and spent her formative years there but was a longtime resident of Tampa, Fla. She was retired from the Florida Department of Transportation and faithful member of Causeway Baptist Church. She devoted herself to helping others and was at her happiest when caring for those in need.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Milton and son, Glen. Survivors include three sons, Tony (Margaret), Steve (Wendy), Rick (Cassandra); five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, February 12, 2016 at Hillsborough Memorial Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations to the Alzheimer’s and Dementia foundation for a cure in Grace’s name.
