Helen Jarvis

Helen was born on June 16, 1939 to Ross and Regina Evers in Plant City, FL. Soon after graduating from Turkey Creek High School, she married Gary Jarvis and had five children, Dale, Lee, Darbie, Gary Jr., and Paul.

Helen worked at Sunshine State Bank in Plant City for many years; then became the office manager at Gulf Marine Repair in Tampa. She truly enjoyed meeting people from all over the world and hearing their stories when their ships were brought in for repair.

After retiring, she was a member of the Propeller Club and also worked part-time as a care-giver. Helen had a huge heart and always wanted to help people whenever she could. She was also a member of Hope Lutheran Church in Plant City and was involved in various activities during her 60 years of membership there.

Helen is survived by her 5 children, Dale of Plant City, Lee and his wife, Linda, Darbie and husband Carl of Wimauma, Gary Jr. of Dover, and Paul of Lakeland. She has 13 grandchildren, Abbigail, Dorothy, Claire, Jeffrey, Justin, Jessica, Carl Jr., Clarisse, Brant, Haley, Emma Lee, Kathleen, and Ross. Her 7 great grandchildren include Augustine, Eleanor, Charlotte, Beckett, Adalyn, Kinsley, and Lestat.

Donations in her memory can be made to Samaritan’s Purse, her favorite charity.

A visitation for Helen will be held Wednesday, March 2, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Hillsboro Memorial Funeral Home, 2323 West Brandon Blvd, Brandon, FL 33511, followed by a funeral service from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM.
