Herbert William Ivey went to be with his savior on December 6th in Oklahoma City, where he lived with his son Ray. “Herb” was born in Sumner Georgia on July 4th 1918 and lived 96 years. He lived in Tampa most of his adult life in the Brandon area, and retired from the U.S. Phosphoric Plant in Gibsonton, Florida. He was a member of Bell Shoals Baptist Church in Brandon and was an ordained deacon. He is survived by his sons Larry and Annette of Lithia Florida, Ray and Wanda of Oklahoma City, his daughter Theresa (Terri) Wiggington of North Carolina, and a brother Bill Ivey of Dundee Florida. He had 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Herbert loved his family dearly, his friends, and His Lord Jesus. His legacy of commitment, wisdom and love will be left behind for generations. A funeral service will be held at Stowers Funeral Home of Brandon on Thursday, December 11 at 3pm; family will start receiving guests at 1pm; burial to follow at Hillsboro Memorial Gardens.
