Mena was born in Charleston, South Carolina. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Martha Renner, her husband, Clark “Pat” Ryan, and her sister, Anne Riley.
She is survived by her nieces, Martha Waldron and Patricia Klem, and many nieces and nephews.
