Howard C. Moore, Jr.

Howard C. Moore Jr., (Known to his Family and Friends as Butch)., 68, of Brandon passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 23, 2013. He was born on August 9, 1944 in Washington, D.C. to the late Howard Sr. and Maria. Howard was predeceased by his devoted wife, Wanda. Howard was in the United States Air Force and ended his Air Force career as a Senior Master Sergeant E8. After the Air Force, Howard worked at NOAA as a Flight Engineer / Hurricane Hunter for the Hurricane Center. Survivors include his daughters, Stacy Allison and Melissa Moore; sons, Bryan Moore (Rachel) and Christopher Scholen; sisters, Joyce O’Donnell and Jean M. Vidotto; 7 grandchildren, Katelynn Allison, Daisy McKamey and John Earnest, Chelsea Dietrich (Charles), Cody Moore, Hunter Moore, and Haden Moore; Great-grandson, Michael McKamey. When Howard wasn't working he spent time working in his yard, barbequing, and spending time with his family. Howard was a devoted father who spent his whole life making sure his family was taken care of to the day he passed away. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, May 17 at 10 AM at Hillsboro Memorial Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Sarasota National Cemetery at 1 PM. Howard will be deeply missed.
