Jack Cook was born in Kewanna, Indiana, on July 22, 1933 to Walter W. and Mildred R. Cook. He graduated from South Bend Central High School in 1951 and went on to earn an engineering degree from Milwaukee School of Engineering. He married Nancy (McIntyre) Cook in 1960. Together they settled in South Bend, Indiana where they raised 5 children. Jack purchased the family electronics business where he had worked with his father for many years. After selling the business, Jack took a new job in 1984 and the family relocated to the Chicago suburbs. In 1990, Jack and Nancy relocated to Brandon, FL for Jack’s job and remained in Florida for their retirement years.
After retirement, Jack followed God’s calling to go into full time Christian ministry. He earned a degree from Temple Heights Bible Institute in December, 1998, followed by his Certificate of Ordination in April, 2002. Jack, along with his wife Nancy served with “Missionaries to America”. They traveled for months at a time in their motorhome sharing God’s love at State Fairs and Churches. Jack would preach at many Bible conferences across the nation.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Mildred Cook and his wife, Nancy. He is survived by his two sisters, Nancy (Doug) Huff of Perryville, KY and Marcia Buzalski of Vandalia, MI. He is further survived by his five children Doug Cook, Barbara Thrall, Peggy (Tom) Force, Laura (Michael) Smith and David Cook, along with 13 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
