With profound love and deep sorrow, we announce that John “Jack” Clifton Elliott passed peacefully on January 5, 2026, at home, surrounded by the love of his wife and children. Jack was born on December 2, 1927, in St. Louis, Missouri.
Jack was the devoted husband of Choy Elliott, with whom he shared 37 beautiful years of marriage, built on love, partnership, and unwavering support.
Though Jack was a stepfather by title, he was a father by heart to Marlon Rosales, John Rosales, Erlyn Malone, and Ermy Vorasone, and will forever be remembered simply as Papa. He was also the father of his three children, Linda, Scott, and Jeff.
One of Jack’s greatest joys was being Papa to his 11 cherished grandchildren: Deanice, Sorren, Maqio, Elle, Kyra, Zacherie, Layla, Liam, Elayna, Ethan, and Dylan. He treasured each of them deeply and found his greatest happiness in time spent together.
Jack loved the outdoors, especially boating, a passion he joyfully shared with his wife throughout the years. He also loved traveling, particularly to Naples, where he found peace, sunshine, and moments that became lifelong memories.
Above all, Jack was a family man—kind, steady, and deeply devoted. His presence brought comfort, strength, and love to all who knew him, and his legacy lives on through the family he nurtured and the memories he leaves behind.
John “Jack” Clifton Elliott will be deeply missed and forever remembered with love.
The family will receive friends 2-5p.m. Monday, January 12, 2026 and Tuesday, January 13, 2026 at Stowers Funeral Home, 401 West Brandon Boulevard, Brandon, Florida.
A Celebration of Life for Jack will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, January 14, 2026 at Stowers Funeral Home, Brandon, Florida.
