Jack served his country in the US Marine Corp between 1959-1965. He was a life long resident of Tampa, FL. After leaving the military, he began his career as a trucker, hauling freight all over the State of Florida and the southeast.
Jack loved football especially the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and never missed a game. He also enjoyed playing dominoes and monopoly with friends and watching game shows.
Jack was preceded in death by his wife, June Spivey; parents Richard and Hazel; sister, Patricia Fowler Labauch and his brother Richard F. Spivey, Jr.
He is survived by sister-in-law, Julie Spivey; nephews Ronnie Fowler of NC, Rodney Fowler, Richard “Rick” Spivey of SC, Kevin Spivey of NC, Kenny Spivey of FL and Antoinette “Toni” Criswell of NC. Special friends Sue and Steve Hibbins of FL and cousins Sandra Davis of GA and Curtis Spivey of FL.
A private graveside service will be held at a later date at Hillsboro Memorial Gardens, Brandon FL. A long time family friend, Dick Morris will officiate the service.
