

James Murray Beers, 67 of Brandon Florida, passed away unexpectedly April 7, 2017. James loved fishing with his son and playing golf. He was known as an amazing artist and for having a good eye for vintage. He had a green thumb and loved playing baseball. He could grill a mean hotdog. He met the love of his life, Leela Eargle, when they were still just teenagers. They met at the local "club", a.k.a. the McDonald's parking lot when she tagged along with her older sister, Jane. They were married for over 41 years. He had an award winning career in advertising in the Detroit area prior to relocating to Florida. His love of family was deep. His grandchildren were always on his heels as he was always up for fun whether it was in the pool, the yard, or the garage. He tolerated his wife's penchant for flea marketing. Preceded in death by: father, Murray; mother, Mary Alice Derr Beers; brother, Richard. Survived by: wife, Leela; son, James Aubrey; daughter-in-law, Kathia; grandchildren, Jenahya and Baby James; brother, Philip of Ft. Lauderdale; brother, John and sisters, Mary Beers and Nancy Youngquist all of Michigan. He is also survived by many loving in-laws, nieces, and nephews who will miss him dearly. A celebration of life will be held Tuesday, April 11, 2017 12 noon at Stowers Funeral Home 401 West Brandon, Fl. James, Grandpa, Big Beers, Mr. B .. you will be missed!
