

Born November 15, 1930 in Plant City, a seventh generation Floridian, James B. Hayward, affectionately known as Jim, was the son of Brent Hayward and Pasadena Hawkins. Jim served the US Army. 11th Airborne Division, an elite strike force that could be deployed in hours around the globe to counteract any emergency during the Korean War, then continued service in the USAF Reserve, USAR, and Florida National Guard for a total of 39 years. Jim was the father of James Irwin (deceased), Karl Otto, Erwin Rommel and Anthony Brent Hayward. His second wife of 27 years, Rosa Nell Mitchell Fuller Hayward (deceased) was the love of his life and mother of his two stepdaughters, Susan Carol Fuller Braun and Jeannie Fuller Early, He is also survived by his brother J.D. Hayward and sister, Opal Hayward as well as current wife who has lovingly cared for him these last five years, Anne Shoults Hayward. Jim has seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Visitation Friday May 10th from 6-8pm at Stowers Funeral Home, 401 W. Brandon Blvd. Brandon where a service will be held Saturday May 11th at 11:00am with interment following at Oaklawn Cemetery in Plant City, FL.
