James Edward Reina, entered into rest on December 5, 2025, at the age of 85. Born and raised in Staten Island, New York, Jim was a resident of Thonotosassa, Florida, and was known for being hard-working, kind-hearted, and selfless.
Born into a Sicilian family to Angelo Reina and Helen Panetta Reina, Jim followed in his brothers' footsteps and worked his entire career as a brick mason.
James was preceded in death by his son, Angelo; step-son, Ricky; parents, Angelo and Helen; three brothers, Joe, Charlie, Angelo. He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Donna; two sons, Jimmy, Tommy; four daughters, Janice, twins Lynn and Lori, Rosalie; step-son, Giovanni; step-daughter, Christina; 16 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
In his personal life, Jim had a passion for vintage cars, and doing body work. He woke up everyday with a plan. He was never one to have an idle day.
James is in a better place after his long battle with cancer. We will miss our Jim-Dini, "a modern day Da Vinci," who could build or fix anything and was always there for anyone who needed help. May our beloved friend rest in peace.
A Celebration of Life will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, January 10, 2026, at The Castle, 2004 North 16th Street, Tampa, Florida. You can park in the lot at 1701 9th Avenue, Tampa next to DaVita across the street from the Hilton. Please do not park in the DaVita reserved spots.

He had accepted that death was coming and learned to say "I Love You."
