VALENTINE, James Leonard 86, of Temple Terrace, Fla., went to be with his Lord Friday, October 21st, 2011, surrounded by his loving family. He was a member of the Destiny Church of Temple Terrace. Jimmy was born on October 15th, 1925 in Cumberland, Maryland. He served in the US Navy during WWII on the USS Eversole and received two purple hearts. Jimmy enjoyed family and church gatherings, computer games, fishing and good food.
He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years Allene, sons Donny Valentine (Linda) and Gregory Valentine (Sharon), grandsons William Earley and Steven Earley, great grandson Wesley Earley, sisters Etta Hopkins and Mary Soos in addition to many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Jesse H. and Marie Valentine, brothers Buddy and Charles Valentine, sisters Selinda and Edna.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 25th from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, October 26th at 11:00am both at Hillsboro Memorial Funeral Home, Brandon. Please visit www.hillsboromemorial.com to leave condolences.
