with the Lord on October 23,
2013. He is survived by his
wife Pat, children Cindy and
Jeff (Leah), grandchildren Julia
and Jared, siblings Audrey,
Judy (Douglas) and Sherman,
and many nieces, nephews,
and friends. JC was a veteran
of the US Army and served in
Okinawa, being honorably discharged
in 1953. He was a
fireman by trade for the City of
Gainesville, FL. He rose to the
rank of Battalion Chief and retired
in 1984 after 27 years of
service. He dedicated his life
to serving others, particularly
his family. His favorite thing to
do was spend time with family
and support his grandkids in
all of their various endeavors.
He is remembered as a caring,
selfless man that always had a
kind word and a smile for everyone.
A memorial service will
be held at Bell Shoals Baptist
Church in Brandon on November
10th. There will be a visitation from
2pm-3pm with a service at 3pm. A
Reception will follow the service.
