

Frazier, Jean Wesley, 77, of Lithia passed away peacefully on Friday, October 25, 2013. She was born on April 5, 1936 in Baltimore, Maryland to Robert and Ada Frazier. Jean graduated with a master’s degree in social work from the State University of New York at Stony Brooke. She worked 31 years in the medical field and retired from Pilgrim Psychiatric Center, N.Y. Jean became an educator working tirelessly with Coalition of Black Trade Unionists and American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees. She was a long-time member of Rivers of Life Church Ministries. Jean was Ministry Head of the Fruit of Their Hands Ministry and participated in the Puppets, Deasoness, Shalom, Health and Healing, Tabernacle, and Seniors Ministries. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, bowling and poetry. Jean was predeceased by her parents, Ada and Robert; siblings, Alfrieda, Robert Jr.; and nephew, Clifton Thomas Jr. Survivors include her grand-nephew, Clifton Thomas III; cousin, Vernice A. Carter; goddaughter, Michelle Shirley; and host of cousins, nieces, nephews and close friends. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, November 2 at 12 PM at Rivers of Life Church Ministries, 301 Lakewood Dr., Brandon 33510.
