Ward, Eva Jeannette “Cookie” Wesson, 86 of Seminole, FL went to the place Jesus Christ had prepared for her on July 21, 2021. She passed peacefully with her family by her side at Seminole Hospice House. She was born June 19, 1935 in Flint Hill, Alabama, The daughter of Eva Parsons Wesson and Marion Asmar Wesson.
She graduated from McAdory High School class of 1953, where she was a member of National Honor Society and drummer in the school band. Following High School she graduated from Burroughs Business School and was employed by Bell South Telephone Co, and later attended Rollins College sponsored Literary Writing Classes and seminars and retired from State Of Florida.
She married William McKinley Ward, Jr November 19, 1955 and celebrated over 60 years of marriage.
As a teenager she followed Bible Teachings (Acts 2:38) becoming a child of God. She remained faithful attending The Church of Christ where she taught Bible classes. She was the published author of a children’s book “I Have a Question God”, as well as numerous magazine articles and church classroom study guides. After her book was published she was interviewed on local morning television station.
She was very intelligent and could have been successful at any endeavor she desired. Her desire was to be a Christian, a wife, mom and homemaker, she was very successful. While it was not Gods plan for her to have children by child birth, she was blessed with two beautiful daughters, Wendi D Cunningham (Dan) and Traci Lynn Langley (Ricky). These marriages brought four wonderful granddaughters into her life, Dr. Abigail Megan “Cunningham” Marritt (Casey), Emma Nicole Cunningham, Shelby Lynn Langley and Katie Lauren “Langley” Post (Devin). She planned for “stay overs” for the granddaughters and planned special things for them such as short round trips with lunch on the Amtrak train. She had a special dress that her mother had knitted for her as a child that had to be lengthened as she grew. When the granddaughters reached the appropriate age she scheduled an appointment with Olan Mills Studio to make picture with them wearing her childhood dress.
She is preceded in death by her parents Eva Parsons Wesson and Marion Asmar Wesson, Sister Lovie Elaine, and Brothers Milton Thomas, Carl Steven and Marion Asmar, Jr.
She enjoyed decorating her home and entertaining friends. She was a good cook and holiday meals usually included her well-loved “cornbread dressing” made from
