Jody Lester Weeks

WEEKS, Jody Lester, 61, of Tampa passed away on Friday, January 06, 2017. He was a retired HVAC Operator at Hillsborough Community College Ybor Campus and a member of Bell Shoals Baptist Church in Palm River. He loved woodworking, drawing, and animals. He was called “Birdman” at his work and “Dr Doolittle” in his neighborhood because of all the animals he saved. He was also an excellent handyman and enjoyed fishing. He is survived by his wife of 22-1/2 years, Barbara Weeks, his children, Karen TerMaat (Brad), Katrina VanGrootheest (David), Jinnie Stephenson (Einar), Jody John Weeks and Joe Weeks (Cortnie), a brother, Alton Weeks (Pat), sisters, Christine Thompson, Patricia McKillop (James), and Iris Lent (Jim), grandchildren, Justin (Megan), WendiLyn, Megan, Erin, Ian, Xandrea, Alyssa, Zavier, Zachary and Kahlen. Also surviving him is Melissa Capello and many nieces, nephews and friends. A Celebration of Life service will be held for him on Tuesday, January 10, 2017, 10:30 am at Bell Shoals Baptist Church Palm River, 5415 Palm River Rd, Tampa, FL 33619.
