CROSS, John Kenneth, 77, of Tampa passed away April 24, 2011. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War and an area resident since 1956 coming from San Diego, Ca. John worked at the International Ship Yards and was a coach for the Southeast Little League for 18 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Hazel Cross, his two daughters, Rhonda Appleby and Patricia Appleby; and his brother, Paul Cross. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Jean; son, Alan Cross; daughters, Barbara Jean Martin and Mary Palmer; brothers, Robert, Virgil and Jerry Cross; sister, Mary Balcer; seven grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m., Friday, April 29, 2011 with a funeral service at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 30, 2011 at Stowers Funeral Home.
