John Henry Edwards, 88, passed away May 9, 2016. Funeral service will be 2pm Wednesday May 11th at Hillsboro Memorial Funeral Home, Brandon. Visitation will be one hour prior to service. John was born September 18, 1927 a son to John & Tessie Marie Ouzts Edwards. He is Predeceased by his parents and grandson Jimmy Leija. Surviving are daughters Tina (John) Ford, Melody (Diego) Yharra and Mary Denise (Jaime) Leija; brother Charles Danis Edwards; sisters, Ruth Chesser and Margie Smith; 10 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. John retired in 1984 from American Freight System Inc. after many years. He was a Veteran of the US Army during the Korean War. John Henry will be remembered by family and friends for his quick wit, he always had a great sense of humor. He was a very humble man and very proud of his military service.
