NUGENT, John, 65, of Valrico passed away October 16, 2011. He retired as a Lt. Colonel, after 27 ½ years of service in the U.S. Army. He was a 23 year active member of the First Presbyterian Church of Brandon and retired last March after 17 years as a sales trainer for Volkswagen. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Peggy; two sons, Don Ross (Melicia) and Tom Nugent (Heather); two daughters, Brandi Hooper (Brian), and Sandra Liederbach; brother, Thomas Nugent (Viola Lucero); sister, Judith Rice (Edward); 12 grandchildren, Kevin, Curtis, Christopher, Keith Ross, Jake , Zoe Nugent, Ethan , Aiden, Avery Hooper, John (Brie), Andrew (Brooks), Kerstin (Mike) Liederbach; two great-grandchildren, Austin and Ayden Liederbach; niece, Elizabeth Dinzeo (Joseph) and nephew, Jordan Rice; and an extended family and numerous friends. He will be missed by all who loved him. A memorial service will take place at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, October 20, 2011 at the First Presbyterian Church of Brandon, 121 Carver Ave., Brandon, FL 33510.
