John Michael Ryan

Beloved husband for sixty three years of Patricia Ann Ryan. Beloved father of John Ryan Jr (Lynne), Joseph, Kelly (Brian) Strickland, Tara (Louis) Wilson, Tricia (Joseph) Hines and Christopher Ryan.

Proud Pop Pop of Nicholas Martello, Cole Battaglia, Kyle Martello, Corey Battaglia, Sean Ryan, James Martello, Morgan Hines, Joseph Hines, Seamus Ryan and Ella Ryan.

Mr. Ryan attended Power Memorial High School in Manhattan and Suffolk Community College in Selden, NY. He was an employee of the U.S. Postal Service for thirty years and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was a long time resident of East Setauket, New York and parishioner at St. James R.C. Church. In his later years he and his wife were long time residents of Spruce Creek in Summerfield, Florida. He will always be remembered by his family as a good husband and father as well as a horticulturist, and culinary experimentalist. He was also a rescuer of dogs and cats over the years. While at Spruce Creek John and Pat were avid golfers.

He was preceded in death by his parents Christopher T Ryan and Mary Bourke Ryan. His son Joseph, sister Catherine Ryan Bouton.

Funeral services will take place at Saint Charles Cemetery in Farmingdale New York at a later date.
