Jose Luis Arambarri, age 72, of Tampa, Florida, and passed away on Sunday, April 25, 2021. Jose was born October 29, 1948 in Berriatua, Spain.

As a young boy he learned the sport of cesta punta and later became a professional Jai-Alai player.

He played in Spain starting at the age of 16, and then came to the United States to play professionally in Tampa and Ocala, Florida. He played for 19 years winning many trophies and awards, such as World Backcourt Champion.

His fellow players nicknamed him "Manco", which means one handed.

He is survived by Norma, son Patxi Arambarri (Cynthia), grandson Asier, daughter Miren Fardella (John), granddaughter Alaia.

We will miss you so much and we love you.

Aita was a father to me as I grew up with patxi as my best friend kind of brother .
He always invited me to family gathering and other family reunions made me feel as part of the "ARRAMBARI'S FAMILY " .
I WILL ALWAYS REMENBER YOU AITA AS MY 2ND DAD AND THE LOVE YOU GIVE ME ALL THIS 30 PLUS YEAR .

We respected Jose so much. Marie remarked he was so very polite to all. He made me laugh and treated me so kind over the many years I had the honor to know him. A true gentleman and a man to be revered. Our warmest sympathy and sincerest condolences to Norma and the family.
