

Julian Leroy Fender, a beloved husband, father, brother, uncle and friend, peacefully passed away on Saturday May 9th, 2026, at the age of 84. A longtime resident of Sun City Center FL, Julian touched the lives of many with his caring heart and unwavering dedication to his family and faith.
Born February 27, 1942, Julian was nurtured in a loving family environment by his late parents, Caulie Eugene Fender and Lillian Pendervis Fender. He found great joy in serving as a dedicated husband, channeling his efforts into the betterment of his family and church.
Julian was a cherished member of The Fowler Avenue Baptist Church in Tampa, Florida where his faith and service embodied his life’s values. He served as a member of the church building community. Julian was also a pipefitter working numerous contracts over his 50 plus years. Among his many joys were antigiving and traveling with his wife, Betty.
Julian’s legacy lives on through his surviving family: wife, Betty Joyce, his brother, Donald W Fender (Sylvia) and his sister Carolyn Sumner and numerous nieces and nephews. He was also proceeded in death by his brother and sisters, Ethel Hart, Willis Fender, Inez Gandy, Loyd Fender, Elwood Fender, Junior Fender, and James Fender.
A graveside funeral service will be conducted at 11:00am on Thursday, May 14th, 2026, at Hillsboro Memorial Gardens. The graveside will be officiated by Pastor Luke Kinckeroker.
