Ken was born in Detroit Michigan to Ruby and Homer Burrell on March 1st 1944.He passed away on January 26th 2017. He fought two tours in the Vietnam war as a united states marine. He was a sharp shooter and gunnery sergeant E-5 at Paris island, South Carolina. He received an M14 riffle expert badge, a Vietnam service medal, Defense service medal and a medal for good conduct. After his service in the marine core he worked in communications for 40 years and was a security officer for 4 years. He is survived by his wife Dolores, his children Michael and Tracy, His grandson Finnian , his sister Barbara Proteau, and his nephew Michael Proteau. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Kens favorite charities, the humane society or the ASPCA.at:
