NICKLES, Kenneth Wayne passed unexpected on January 17th, 2019 at the age of 54 years. Kenny was surrounded by his family and will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 28 years, Elizabeth Nickles, and their two boys, Elijah and Luke.
Kenny was born June 1st, 1964 in Virginia Beach, Va. He served in the Army from 1982 - 1984 where he repaired helicopters and earned the Army Service Ribbon, Aircraft Crewmember Badge, and Sharpshooter award. After the military, he became the manager of Little Ceasars where he met wife, Beth. Kenny eventually became a car-hauler and then hauled other materials, proudly driving a truck for almost 30 years. He was awarded numerous driving and safety awards over the past 30 years. Some of the things Kenny enjoyed were working out with his sons, and nephews, playing any sport with his family, reading, watching movies, and riding his Harley.
Kenny was a very loving, intelligent, hardworking man who loved his family beyond measure. He was known to be fiercely loyal to his family, friends, and country. Kenny would do anything in his power for those he loved. He believed strongly in serving others and always had compassion for "the underdog". Kenny was opinionated and strong, both physically and spiritually. He knows he will be able to be with his family again, and this is what keeps his family strong.
Kenny is also survived by his father, Edward (Sylvia) Nickles; siblings, Rosalyn Hutchins, Jeff Nickles, Mary Harris, Keith (Sherri) Nickles; brothers-in-law, William (Donna) and Scott (Jimmie Lee) Cummins; nieces and nephews, Chad (Kelly) Cummins, Andrea Cummins, Hunter Cummins, Noah Cummins, Sam Cummins, Kinley Cummins, Calli Cummins, Keith Nickles, Collin Nickles, Leslie Nickles, Brittany Farah, and Christopher Harris. Kenny was preceded in death by his mother, Maizie White Nickles.
A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Monday, January 28, 2019 at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 1412 John Moore Rd., Brandon, Fla. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Fla. at 2 p.m. Arrangements by Hillsboro Memorial Funeral Home.
