Lillian Lucille Pitt, age 91 went home to be with the Lord, on 4/17/16. She was born on a dairy farm in Andover, Ohio to Frederic and Beulah Labrousse. Lillian and her husband Kenneth Pitt met in 1942 at Mullins Manufacturing Plant, Warren, Ohio where they were making empty shell casings for the army and navy.
Lillian and Ken had three children: Kenneth Jr., Kathleen, and Karen. They moved to the Tampa area in September 1960. She was employed at Jester Kids Klothes in Tarpon Springs and at Spotless Cleaners on Bearss Plaza before retiring.
Lillian was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Kenneth, and son Ken Jr. Surviving her are daughters, Kathleen Calvo, Phoenix, AZ, and Karen Erskine, Tampa. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Kenneth III, Adrienne Downey, Charlene Quetglez, and Mary Pitt. She was blessed with eight great-grandchildren: Kenneth IV, Grace, Michelle, Evan, Rose, Sammy, Scarlet, and Michal, and four great-great-grandchildren: Luke, Nykky, Preston, and Aubrey.
Three brothers preceded her in death: Fred Labrousse (Anna), Russell Labrousse (Juana), and Arthur Labrousse, plus three sisters; Charlotte Taft, Marianne Mack (Roger), and Lorna Wentink. Four sisters remain; Ruth Krupla, Washington Court House, Ohio; Emily Kobialko, Andover, Ohio; Marcella Fagan, Dora, Missouri and Adrienne Marrison (Robert) of Jefferson, Ohio. She is also survived by numerous nieces, great-nieces, nephews, and great-nephews.
Lillian was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church, 14925 North Blvd, Tampa, FL 33613, where there will be a celebration of her life on Saturday, April 23 at 5:00 PM with visitation beginning at 4:30 PM and reception following the service. A private interment will be at Hillsboro Memorial. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Trinity Presbyterian Church.
