Linda Jerrine Palmer

Linda was the beloved daughter of the late George and Ida Marie Leigh. She is survived by her devoted and loving husband of 45 years, Terry, children Cheryl Johnson Atwood, Gary Johnson (Maritza), Larry Johnson, Scott Johnson (Tina), seven grandchildren, one great-grandchild, brother, George Leigh (Barbara), and sister, Cathy Nanette Conner (Jim).

Linda was born in Paris, Texas and grew up in Dallas, Texas where she attended Woodrow Wilson High School. She later attended the University of Maryland University College in Heidelberg, Germany.

Linda and Terry married in 1978 while he was serving in the US Army. They moved with his various assignments which included Augsburg, Germany and Ft. Meade, Maryland. Linda worked in government civil service in different administrative positions throughout her career while supporting her husband, Terry, with his Army career. After Terry retired in 1987 they sailed their boat from Maryland to Tampa, Florida where they finally set anchor in Valrico, Florida. She was his First Mate on the sailboat and in life.

She was a faithful and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. She leaves behind a legacy of faith, love and cherished memories that will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. She will be deeply missed by her loving husband and family.

A graveside service will be held at Hillsboro Memorial Gardens, 2323 West Brandon Blvd
