Linda Marie Thompson

Mother, daughter, sister, wife, friend, caregiver, nurse, but OUR Mother. A woman of amazing faith. Condolences sometimes begin with "there are no words". Truly. No words to help us miss her less or to give us more time with her here. But words can describe the love of Linda our Mom. She gave us life, and as only a mother can, she never stopped giving. Love, faith, encouragement, laughter, strength, forgiveness, life lessons. We are who we are because of who she is to us. We will miss you everyday, Mom, but we know you're in Heaven.

Thank You Mom - We love you!!! Barbara and Carlin

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to: and/or Linda's charity of choice in her name

Barbra & Carlin,

I am saddened by the news of your mom’s passing. What a wonderful woman. Seemed like it was only yesterday when we first met her at Northgate Church.

Although Linda is incredibly blessed to be in the presence of our Lord Jesus, we will continue to pray for strength for both of you as you move forward without your mom.

We too will miss her!

I’m so sorry to hear of your loss but at the same time rejoice for her because I know she is in the best place now with our Father. I only crossed paths with her a few times but the love of God poured from her to me, love and acceptance. She was such a calm loving beautiful spirit on this earth. Blessed to have crossed paths with her. Praying for you all that the peace of God surround you and Holy Spirit comfort you greatly in Jesus precious name. Much love

Linda truly exemplified Jesus’s commandments:

. . .Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. Matthew 22:37

. . .Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. . . . Matthew 22:39

I can hear the Lord saying to Linda: . . . Well done, good and faithful servant . . . Matthew 25:21

What an amazing Woman! She is greatly loved and will be missed.

What a beautiful lady, full of love for God her family and friends. Linda lived her life on her terms, with the love of God and her faith as her driving force. She will be missed by all that loved her and knew her for the amazing women she was.
Sometimes we all don't agree but we always have love and God in our favor. Rest in Peace Linda you will be missed.

I first met Linda in 1987 at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta Georgia. She was opening a outpatient Hematology Service (Hemaphilia ) and I was opening a 20 inpatient bed Oncology Service and we worked together developing the and implementing the New Programs located in same space sharing resources. We developed a great friendship and reconnected quite unplanned at The River Healing School in Tampa Florida 2017.
I am deeply saddened and shocked with news of her death and trying to wrap my mind around the news.
She was a very caring, gentle spirit, calm generous person with great caretaking talents. I will miss her very much.

Dear Barbara and Carlin,
Chris and I send our condolences.
Your mom truly was a special person. She was a sweet, loving and giving person.
I thank God that we had the pleasure of meeting her in church. Barb, we truly missed seeing you both on Wednesdays and Sundays but know the move was a good one for you both.
Linda lived a life reflecting God's love. It was displayed in her beautiful smile and welcoming
Spirit. Chris and I have been blessed knowing her. We will cherish our memories of her.

PS : The house plant she gave me is flourishing.

I was Linda's Tennant in the basement apartment. In the bad days of 2009 as I was clawing my way back from being a recession-casualty, I found a job up in Gwinnett and needed to move close to it. I had been living with family and friends for 8 months and was ready to be independent again. A Craigslist ad connected me to this sweet retired lady and her daughter who had an apartment in their house. At first I thought I would only stay until I found an entire house to rent, but my stay became seven years and Linda and Barbara became more than neighbours- true friends, almost family. We helped each other with so many things and enjoyed good times. I'm eternally grateful for Linda's patience putting up with all my eccentricities and vehicular hobbies, and for all the help she gave me when I was down with a broken arm, and for just being a good steady influence when I needed it.

Linda was one of the good ones- she will be missed for sure.

Linda was a good friend and a beautiful soul. She was a unique individual. She was cut out of a different mold ,so to speak.
She didn't follow the crowd, but chose her own wisdom, and instincts for direction. She was wise spiritually and very knowledgeable in life and about many topics. she had an awesome vocabulary She loved Jesus most of all,and . I loved her to. I miss her.
