The Reverend Billy Graham was special to Grandmother: she listened to him and watched him and he led her spiritually.  If someone were to ask the name of Grandmother's Pastor, I would have to answer Billy Graham.
"Only God Himself fully appreciates the influence of a Christian Mother in the molding of character in her children" a direct quote of Billy Graham.  He also said "Nothing can bring a real sense of security into the home except true love"  All of these are a way to praise and remember Grandmother. She read her Bible every night and had accepted Jesus as her Savior.
I found the following words to be comforting and warm:  Grandmothers and roses are much the same, Each are God's masterpieces with different names-Unknown.
I would like for everyone to get a picture of Grandmother in your mind.  You will see a loving daughter, wife, mother, sister, Grandmother and friend.  She touched everyone in this room in some way and left each of us with a lasting memory of Lottie Little,  You touched a lot of lives in 98 years!
Everyone remebers 1609 Drake Avenue!
I can recall many days and nights at Grandmother's house while I was growing up.  I think I practically lived there the first 3 years of my life.  I have find memories of shopping trips downtown; 15th street to Harrison Avenue, St. Andrew's Marina and evenings watching TV. Back then you had 2 channels - 7 from Panama City and 4 out of Dothan if you were lucky.  When you think of Grandmothers home you think of window air conditioners, jalousy windows, a cold water jug in the refrigerator; roses, azaleas, carports, the den with the ponderosa pine walls and the green bamboo frame furniture, back porches, the outdoor shower house, and the food!!! Fresh vegetables, butter beans, grits and eggs, pecans, fig preserves, peach pie, fried chicken, chicken and dumplings, black eyed peas and OKRA!  I cannot see shredded coconut without thinking of coconut cake and licking the batter off a mixing spoon.
For many Grandmother was Mamaw for many years.  You knew that she loved you, how much? "A bushel and a peck and a hug around the neck" , she would tuck you in bed with "Good night, sweet dreams and happy face in the morning," Getting ready for the day she would "jump in the shower", She would "make your picture," and when something went wrong we all heard her say "oh foot".  
If you did anything wrong you would have to go and get a switch, the threat usually being all she needed to correct the unruly behavior.
I was luck enough to have spent many more days with Grandmother and Grandaddy as I got older.  She became more than just a Grandmother to me then, she became a genuine friend.  There were many mornings when we would share several cups of coffee, look over the morning paper and then talk about whatever happened to come up in conversation.  
After Grandaddy passed she stayed right here; she lived 50 years in Panama City in the same house where she had raised her family.  I still took those summer vacations to Panama City, still shared those cups of coffee and shopping trips, except now it was down 23rd Street to the mall.  A little less fried chicken, but in my mind she will forever be linked to Chick-Fil-A and Ryan's Steakhouse. She cared for me when I was little and as I grew up, she was there for me.
This is a time to rejoice: go back to that picture you put in your mind and smile.  "A real Christian is the one who can give his pet parrot to the town gossip" - BillyGraham  I am sure the way Grandmother lived she would have no problem giving the town gossip her parrot.  Of course she would never have a parrot.  At least not in the house!
Know that Grandmother loved her family, loved her life, and had faith in her eternity.

It is hard to believe there could be something better than Lottie, Mother, Grandmother, but I believe knowing she is in Heaven, is better; knowing she is with her family, is better, keeping her alive in our hears and minds, is better, she touched each and everyone of us in her 98 years and We are better.
We love you Grandmother, we miss you and we know God blessed us with a special person, and now she is home.

I have very fond memories of spending summers with Aunt Lottie, Barbara, and Jean, as I was growing up.  She was a wonderful lady and I will always remember her love for my family.  May our God of comfort be with her family.  Love, Mary Renfroe Brown

Dear Jean and Barbara, I empathize with you during this period of mourning. But, I am so happy that we three had our mothers with us for so many years. What a blessing! It has been more than a dozen years since I last saw Lottie, the beloved eldest sister of my wonderful step-father. I have many fond memories of the times I spent in her home on Drake Avenue.  She was a special lady.  May God be with all of you during this time.  My thoughts are with you.

To my dear friends Jeanne and Roy;as your lives return to somewhat normal, know that you are in the hearts of many during your time of loss. May God hold you close as he welcomes dear Lottie into His Kingdom.

Grandmother, you were truly unique; truly special and truly grand. We will miss you but always cherish the memories we have of a loving grandmother. You touched each and every one. There is no doubt we will see you in Heaven; enjoy your well earned reward. We love you.

My precious Lottie it was such a pleasure to have met you and your family and been given the great opportunity to help care for you.  There will not be a day that goes by I won't think of you or miss you.  I will always remember saying "Hey Baby" to you every evening & you looking back at me with a great big smile saying "Hey Baby". I will always Love You.

We are sorry to hear of Mrs.Little's loss, but know that she's in a better place, pain free. Although we all will miss her, and are hurting that she's not here w/ us, shes living it up with the Lord and having a blast,walking on her own two feet with nothing holding her back.
               Mrs little always had a smile on her face and if she wasn't smiling or making people laugh she must have been asleep or really really mad about something. She had high spirits, and a big caring heart. She was a joy to be around, and work with.   We miss you dearly Mrs. Little and will re-unite with you someday. We love you!
