EVERSON, Lucille, 100, of Tampa passed away March 15, 2013. She was a member of the Manhattan Baptist Church in Tampa and an avid gardener. She was preceded in death by her husband, Chester Everson; and grandson, Robert D. Clift. She is survived by her son, Richard O. Strickland, Sr. (Martha) of High Springs, FL; daughter, Janice S. Kanoy (Kenneth) of Tampa, FL; step-son, Tommy Everson (Joyce) of Danville, GA; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends 12-1 p.m., with a funeral service at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, March 23, 2013 at Stowers Funeral Home. Interment will follow the service at Myrtle Hill Memorial Park, Tampa. Donations in Lucille's name may be sent to the Alzheimer's Association.
