

Lynn Ellen Brown, aged 80, of Seffner, Florida passed away in Savannah Court of Brandon on May 4, 2025. Lynn was born in Elkins, West Virginia to John Russell Thomson and Marilynn Bird Thomson. She attended Robinson High School, Erwin Technical College, and Hillsborough Community College.
Lynn married Jim Brown, and together they had two children, Shawn Michael and Robert Alan Brown. She worked as a medical technologist at Moffitt Cancer Center and enjoyed baseball, word games, and mystery novels. She loved science and working as a hematologist at Moffitt and University Community Hospital. Lynn is survived by her husband, Jim Brown; son, Robert Brown and his wife, Amy Bohler; granddaughter, Tori Nieves and her husband, Damiel Nieves; granddaughter, Mikayla Townsend, and her partner, Gabriel Ruiz; granddaughter, Jada Townsend; grandsons, Avery Bohler, Cas Bohler; great-grandchildren, Bodhi Ruiz, Emori Ruiz, and Azriel Nieves. She was predeceased by her father, John Russel Thomson; mother, Marilynn Thomson; sister, Lesley Thomson; brother, John Thomson; and her son, Shawn Brown.
Memorial contributions may be made in Lynn Brown’s name to Moffitt Cancer Center.
A celebration of life for Lynn will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, May 31, 2025 at Stowers Funeral Home, 401 West Brandon Boulevard, Brandon, Florida. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the funeral home.
