

Margaret “Peggy” Tyler Hall, beloved Wife, Stepmother, Grandmother “Maya” and Friend, passed away peacefully in Brandon, Florida on March 11, 2026. She was born on April 30, 1947, in Miami, Florida to the late Jesse Tyler, Jr. and Suzanne Clausen Tyler.
Peggy was a National Board-Certified Teacher, and last worked as the English Department Head at Durant High School until her retirement in 2010.
Peggy is survived by her stepsons Jeremy Hall (Tracey), Erie, PA, and Jeffrey Hall (Ruth), Hermitage, TN; her grandchildren, Averie, Lily, Yorick & Gracyn Hall. She is further survived by her sisters Mary Schultz and Sandra Curry, and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of over 30 years, Thomas Hall, and her brother William “Bill” Tyler.
Peggy was accomplished at sewing and crafting and often shared that talent with her grandchildren. She was a generous and dedicated individual who would help anybody in their time of need. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, and playing scrabble in her free time. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Brandon, and especially enjoyed the hymns played at mass.
A Gathering of Friends and Family will be held at Hillsboro Memorial Funeral Home, 2323 West Brandon Blvd, Brandon, FL 33511, on April 2, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm. A Memorial Service will follow at Hillsboro Memorial Funeral Home on April 2, 2026, at 2:00 pm.
All are welcome to attend and celebrate Peggy’s life. The family would like to thank Brandon General Hospital staff and her Savannah Court family for their care.
