

Margaret is survived by husband, Elwood Paul Reid children Michael Keith Means, Brian Christopher Means.
Margaret July 18, 1049 in LaGrange, Georgia to Carlisle Jefferson Minor and Shirley Osborne.. She graduated from St Joseph’s Nursing School, Memphis TN as a Registered Nurse. She worked at Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital in Memphis, TN. She moved to Jonesboro, AR where she held positions at Craighead Memorial Hospital then as office nurse in Jonesboro Obstetrical Group where she met her future Husband, Dr E. Paul Reid. They married in Sacramento, CA. She began to work in Home Health which she enjoyed greatly because she had time to interact one-on-one with patients in their home. They were moved to Germany for three years with the Air Force, then moved to Tampa with the Air Force.
She became very active with Bible Study Fellowship. She came to have 10 grandchildren and delighted in sending them cards (always with some money) at birthdays, holidays, and any other event that came to mind.
She was an active and dedicated member of First Baptist Church Brandon for 19 years and then joined First Baptist Church Plant City.
A visitation will be held on January 29, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the First Baptist Church of Plant City, located at 3309 James L Redman Pkwy, Plant City, FL 33566. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 am. The Senior Pastor Dr Brian Stowe will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Margaret’s life.
A committal service will take place at 1:30 pm at the Florida National Cemetery, located at 6502 SW 102nd Ave, Bushnell, FL 33513.
In lieu of flowers, please send donations to First Baptist Church Plant City Building Fund. The family would like to thank the caregivers and staff at Seasons Memory care in San Antonio for their tender care in her waning months.
