Margorie Eleanor Flaws of Brandon, passed away on Friday, September 19, 2025. She was born on March 17,1940 in Orlando, Florida, the much-loved daughter of the late Werner and Sara Valtin. In her early childhood, the family moved to Brandon, which became her forever home. She was a proud graduate of Brandon High School’s class of 1958. Margorie was active in New Hope United Methodist Church where she taught Vacation Bible School and sang for many years in the Chancel Choir. Being a true Floridian, Margorie loved the beaches, the open spaces, and nature. Always a sports fan, she rooted for the Bucs, the Gators, and enjoyed watching tennis on television. Margorie married the absolute love of her life in 1970, Magnus Flaws, Jr., and they were married 54 years. Together they had many friends and built a wonderful life together traveling between Brandon and the Western North Carolina mountains – their happy place and refuge. Sadly, she lost Magnus one year and four days before her death, but now they’re reunited for “forever and 12 days”, as they should be.
In addition to her parents and Magnus, she was preceded in death by her beloved sister Hildegarde Peek, and many dear family members and friends. She is survived by three children: Larry (Susan) Flaws, Mark (Lori) Flaws, and Melissa (Carl) Mustain, all of Valrico. She had eight grandchildren: Alicia Miller, Ashley Suggs, Lawrence Flaws, David Flaws, Olivia Mustain, Daniel Flaws, Ben Flaws and Caroline Flaws, and eight great grandchildren: Emma Samuel, Macy Miller, Isaiah Suggs, Noah Suggs, Asher Suggs, Bristol Flaws, Raelynn Flaws, and Ensley Flaws.
The family would like to express their deepest appreciation to her caregivers Dementria, Fede, Jeanette, Jessica, Kalyna, LaPorche, and Sacha.

Private interment will be held at a later date for family only at Hillsboro Memorial Gardens.
