Marie you were the best of the best for friends, I miss you  so much. I know that you are not hurting  any more and for that I am so happy but it does not help the hurt that I feel in missing you. I will love and miss you until we can meet again


Dear my sweet loving Nana; though I may not have seen you in person since 2012 that doesn't change how much I loved you. Every time I called you were just filled with joy and ready to send encouragement and love my way... I will miss those conversations more then words can express. You taught me about life,faith,family,love, loyalty. No one can or will ever be able to replace your shoes in the family, how could they? But we will stick together. Thanks to Tyler for making it possible for me to attend your funeral via Facebook. I love you and Poppy more then you could ever imagine. Rest easy, fly high, hug mom for me! Until we meet again at the big pearly gates you promised me you would be waiting for me at in heaven. I love you. 

My Nana was one of the most loving and supportive people in my life. We spent hours upon hours on that back porch together talking and reading murder mystery books. She will always be my guardian angel. 

Marie was beautiful inside and out, I will never have another friend like her, there is no one that can fill her shoes. Her love was never ending. I will miss you dear friend and love you always.


Nana, 

You were the most loving and caring person who took such pride and joy in your family. I remember growing up in Connecticut where you always would insist on “putting on your face” And making sure your hair was done. Yet you would always let us play beauty salon. I remember you coming to watch us in South Carolina making Frito Chili Pie and Macaroni and Hot Dog. There was spending the entire summer at your house when we lived in Utah, playing in the deep end of your pool. I got to live with you guys twice in college, with you washing my laundry and trying to keep my mess controlled. Thanks for being the best Nana and Great Nana. I love you lots. Go dance with Jesus. You deserve eternal happiness ❤️

Aunt Marie was always one of the sweetest and most uplifting people in my life for as long as I can  remember. I have many memories of being at her house as young boy and either simply sitting at the dining room table to talk to her about our family and lives or playing with the other kids who might have been visiting such as Dylan, Robert, and Nicole. As I grew up, Aunt Marie was always present in my life whether by encouraging me, praying for me, or visiting to me when I would stop by her house. My mother has told me how she always asked about me and prayed for me even while I was away at college, and I am so grateful for all the love and support she showed me through out the years. I am already missing her very much, but I know that she is happy and with her family as I write this, which brings me much comfort and joy.

With a heavy heart,  I want to express my condolences. I am so very sorry for your loss. I know how much your Mom meant to all of you and how dear you were to her.  I will always remember Mom and how she was so good to me during my high school years. She taught me things that I have carried on throughout my own life and then on to my children. Too many wonderful things to list.  But most of all how to love family.  I have such fond memories of sharing Holidays with the family. She even taught me how to wrap presents so when you were done, the gifts under the tree would look like something out of Norman Rockwell. And to this day, I still wrap gifts the way she taught me. 
Even though I lost touch with all of you and your Mom over the years, I never forgot and never will forget any of you. Your Mom was  such an important part of my earlier, impressionable years in my life. I will always remember her for her kindness, generosity and the love she had for everyone. Indeed a lovely woman all around. May God comfort all of you during this difficult period.

My dear, sweet Marie,  I have loved you since the very first day your brother brought me 'home' to meet his family so many years ago.  You were always his heart and he loved you so much.  So I loved you too because you  made it so easy to love you.  We became family and from the beginning you called me your sister, a bond I cherish to this day.  Through the years, we have shared many memories, mostly good.  Life was also complicated, but you always held your head high and triumphed over any obstacle because you were born a 'Higgins' and they never give up.  You were the glue, the refuge that your family depended on. They were your priority and you never failed to give all of you to each of them.  You always put them first.  Your grace and kindness was always on display and your generous spirit has left a legacy for everyone that knew you to claim you as their hero.  You were my hero too, Marie.  I will  forever love you.  Rest in the arms of Jesus.  Say hello to Doug!

Marie by far was the best friend anyone could ever ask for, we may not have seen each other every day or even every year but we never lost the love that we had for one another. Being able to be with you the last two times was very special to have been able to share with you some of your last days. I love you more than words can say and will miss you always. Fly high dear friend and may you rest in peace always.

Oh there are too many kind words and memories to share about my Nana. She had enough love to share with the world and I am so blessed to have a grandmother that was so kind, selfless, accepting, and full of love. No matter what she was going through she always wanted to make sure we were okay first. There is no one like her. She is dancing with her angels and reunited with so many loved ones. To heaven and back, I love you more.

Marie was so special to me.  I always loved how she greeted me every time we spoke or met with "Hey Babe."   Although she went through so much she never complained.  Every time we spoke she would say "I don't want to talk about me, let's talk about you."  She always made me feel loved and valued as well as my two kids.  They adored her.   Not only did she have an extremely large heart she was a lot of fun.  In the days she was able to go to lunch and go to stores - she would always say "let's shop til we drop."    I will miss her very much.  

"Goodbyes are not forever, goodbyes are not the end. They simply mean we'll miss you, until we meet again." Thank you for being our lovely neighbor, and a wonderful friend for the past 10 years.  You will be sorely missed. Rest in peace, sweet Marie. ❤
