Marjorie F. Copeland

COPELAND, Marjorie Faison, 92 of Tampa, passed away on January 31st, 2017. She was born on March 28, 1924 in Tampa, Florida and is survived by her husband of 69 years, Charles E. Copeland; brother, Robert Faison of Tarpon Springs, Florida, and children; Charles E. Copeland, Jr. of Marietta, Georgia and Cathy Calahan, of Brandon, Florida, grandchildren; Natalie Peterson of Alexandria, Virginia, Brittany Elson of Atlanta, Georgia, and great-grandchildren, Cole Peterson and Charlotte Elson. She graduated from Hillsborough High School and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was stationed in Key West, Florida. After the war she learned to fly, taught by her husband. Her hobbies included, gardening, flower arranging, bird watching, china painting, collecting Dickens Villages, and traveling to North Carolina for the change in seasons. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 7th from 6-8 p.m. at Stowers Funeral Home with funeral services on Wednesday, February 8th, at 10:00 a.m. followed by a graveside service at Florida National Cemetery at 1:00 p.m.
