Melva Jean Hudgins was born February 12th, 1944 in Tennessee to Logan and Eula Mae Benthal.
Melva is preceded in death by her parents; her brother Jimmy Benthal; her sisters Yvonne Reueal and Marie Norton; her daughter Sheila Annette Ragland; and her granddaughter Tonya.
Melva is survived by her loving children, Ricky Floyd Hudgins of Florida, Michael Gene Hudgins of Tennessee, Danny Logan Hudgins of South Carolina, and Lisa Michelle Young of Florida; her sister Franchine Holtzclaw of Florida; seventeen grandchildren, Adam, Matt, Lianna, Kenny, Jennifer, Michael, Harley, Gilbert, Amanda, John, Christina, Brandy, Leroy, Cassandra, Alan, and Aaron. She also leaves 27 great-grandchildren as well as other relatives and friends.
A visitation for Melva will be held Tuesday, October 15, 2019 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Hillsboro Memorial Funeral Home, with a funeral service to follow.
