ATKINS, Michael Kenneth, 50, of Brandon formerly of Atlanta, Ga., entered into rest January 27, 2016. Michael was a longtime employee of Dayco Automotive. He loved his dogs, enjoyed everything about modern aviation, and entertaining friends with his great cooking. He was preceded in death by his parents, Larry and Jane Atkins. Survivors include his lifetime partner, Norman Streeter; furry children, Luna, Bella, Ina, Chevy; brother, Larry Atkins (Lynda); sister, Margaret "Cissy" Thibadeau (John); nephew, John Thibadeau; niece, Wendy Owen; several grand-nieces and nephews; and a host of friends. A funeral service will be held 3 p.m. Sunday, January 31, 2016 at Hillsboro Memorial Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Graveside service will be held 11 a.m. in Hillsboro Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the ASPCA in Michael’s memory.
