Michael Francis Finnegan

Michael is survived by his siblings, sister Michelle Finnegan Miller, brothers Frank Anthony Finnegan and Joseph Carlin Finnegan and sister-in-law Amanda Finnegan nieces and nephews Caitlyn, Olivia, Frankie, Kendal, Kaleb, and Joseph.

Michael was born on December 17th 1959 in Kettering, England to parents Francis Xavier Finnegan and Mary Rita Finnegan. Michael graduated from Brandon High School in 1979, University of Tampa in 1984 with a degree in business and HCC with a degree in Opticianry. Michael successfully ran Sun Hill Optical along with his brother Frank. The company was started by their father in 1978 and the boys took it over in 1989 after his passing.

Growing the business into 3 locations, his business was his passion and he enjoyed taking care of thousands of members of our community. Michael was an accomplished optician and stock trader. He enjoyed many things like boating, fishing, traveling, cooking, working out and going to the casino. He loved being around people and he knew no stranger's.

A visitation for Michael will be held Thursday, March 27, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Hillsboro Memorial Funeral Home, 2323 West Brandon Blvd, Brandon, FL 33511, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Michael’s life.
