She is survived by her daughters, Sonia Manna and Teresa Moreno; son in-laws, Frank Manna and Mario Moreno Jr; grandchildren, Manuel and Anthony Manna, Daniel and Tomas Moreno; great grandchildren, Jaelyn , Sebastian, Kaeden, and Rylan.
In 1959, she migrated from Cuba to Port Chester, New York. There she met the love of her life Luis Betancourt, and six months later wed on December 12, 1959. The couple had two daughters, Sonia and Teresa. In 1968, they moved to Tampa, and a year later to Valrico, where they remained the rest of their lives. She was a stay-at-home mom and home maker who loved to sew. Family was her priority, making many sacrifices for her children. She was generous and loved to cook. Family and friends knew that there would always be food, and she ensured that everyone ate until their bellies were full. She will be missed by many but is finally resting and in peace.
A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, March 23, 2019 at Hillsboro Memorial Funeral Home, interment to follow in Hillsboro Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
