Moses L. Varnum Jr.

VARNUM, Moses L., Jr. Born July 9, 1936, passed on October 25, 2018. Moses was predeceased by his parents, Moses L. Varnum, Sr., and Evelyn Mercer Varnum Wright; as well as his sisters, Martha Varnum Shay and Melanie Varnum. He is survived by his brother, Al Varnum (June); sisters, Patricia Varnum, Annie Faye Varnum Shiflet, Freida Varnum, Pamela Varnum Meeks (Randy), and Jeana Varnum Hancock (Terry); as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Moses graduated from Turkey Creek High School in 1953, attended Gordon Military College, and served in Korea. His hobbies were writing and gardening, and he was good at both. He loved to dance, sing, and play the piano. The family wishes to thank the staff at Brandon Hospital and Sun City Hospice House for their loving care of Moses during the past two weeks.

A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at Hillsboro Memorial Funeral Home, Brandon, Fla., with visitation at 1 p.m., interment to follow in Hillsboro Memorial Gardens. Flowers are welcome, as well as donations to Sun City Hospice House or the Wounded Warriors Project.
