Nadine Miller, age 90, of Brandon, Florida, passed away peacefully on July 7, 2021. Nadine was born on September 11,1930 to George and Florence Edwards in Tampa, Florida. After graduating from Hillsborough High School, she went on to study Elementary Education at the University of Tampa. After college graduation, she landed her first job as a teacher for Hillsborough County Public Schools, kicking off a career that lasted just shy of 40 years. She truly had a passion for teaching children and greatly impacted so many young lives along the way.
Not long after her graduation, she met the love of her life, Ed Miller. They wed in 1959 and went on to have two children, Kimberly and Karen. They were married for 29 years until he passed away. Kim and Karen were her whole world and she loved spending time with each one of them and their precious families. Her two sons-in-law, Bill and Kevin, were loved so much and were treated as if they were her own sons. Her favorite moments were spent traveling with the entire family. She arranged beautiful family trips to Branson, Missouri, the Mountains of North Carolina, Nashville, Tennessee, Georgia/Blue Ridge Mountains, and many week long cruises to amazing ports of call.
After retiring in 1995, she spent her time as a full time Mamaw to her 7 beautiful grandchildren, who were the absolute loves of her life. She loved attending all of their award programs, sporting events, grandparent’s day, and anything else they were involved in. Mamaw enjoyed taking the kids to Chick-Fil-A and shopping. She and the girls would enjoy baking her famous pound cakes and lemon bars and they all would enjoy a big glass of her homemade lemonade with LOTS of sugar in it! To say she was the BEST Mamaw ever would be an understatement!
Nadine also enjoyed attending services and activities at First Baptist Church of Brandon where she was a long-time member. She was blessed to teach Sunday School and Vacation Bible School at her churches throughout her life. Her faith and love of Christ shone through in everything she did.
Nadine was preceded in death by her mother and father, George and Florence Edwards, her husband Ed Miller, Sisters, Mickey Roberts and Wanda Funt, and her Aunt, Ruth Lindemeyer. She is survived by her daughters Kimberly Kull (Bill), Karen Wilson (Kevin), Grandchildren, Baylor Kull, Kameron Wilson, Kyle Wilson, Kayla Wilson, Carson Kull, Ansley Kull, Caden Kull. She is also survived by her nephew, Fred Breakey and niece, Helen Mechtell.
