Nicholas fell asleep in the Lord on February 22, 2018 at his home in Valrico, Florida.
A private service with be held at Stower's Funeral Home on February 27 in Brandon, Florida followed by burial with military honors at Florida National Cemetery.
Nicholas was born on May 11, 1949, in Latrobe, PA, to Paul and Catherine Svetahor. He spent his early years in Latrobe and graduated from Greater Latrobe High School.
Nicholas attended Slippery Rocky University where he meant his love of 46 years, Lillian and earned his first of two Bachelor's Degrees.
After college, Nicholas joined the United States Marine Corps and gave 21 years to his country. After retirement he taught American Government at a high school in Virginia for 12 years.
Nicholas was member of the NRA, the Marine Corps League, AmVets and the American Legion.
Nicholas is survived by his wife Lillian and their 4 sons Paul, Ivan, Ilya and Markus; sisters Nancy and Janice; brother Emil; and 8 grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, Lillian and family respectfully request donations to the NRA and/or the Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund.
