Patricia Yvonne Vold

On March 10, 2023, Patricia Y. Vold passed away peacefully at the age of 84. Known to all as Pat, she was born in Jasper, MN, moved to Pierre, SD at a young age, and then on to Sioux Falls, SD. Her last move took her to the Brandon/Valrico, FL area where she lived her remaining 59 years. She was respected and well-loved by her family, friends, co-workers and anyone else who knew her.

Pat was the mother of 4 children, 4 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Despite her large family, Pat always made time for everyone. In order to provide support for her family, she sold Fuller Brush and Avon products door-to-door, held her real estate license, built houses, performed FHA inspections and even delivered packages for Airborne Express. She and her husband Donald worked tirelessly to provide opportunities for their kids. She was one of the first female General Contractors in the State of Florida, and she continued building customs homes with her son until her retirement in 2010. Pat was always proud of her family. Whether it was about their accomplishments in school, sports or their careers, she would proudly boast about all of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Pat was predeceased by her husband of 59 years Donald F. Vold, Sr. and by her daughters Patti Knutson and Pamela Weston. She is survived by her two surviving children Donald F. Vold, Jr. (Karen) and Patsy Vold (Lisa), her 4 grandchildren Billy, Christopher Todd (Kim), Donnie (Brooke) and Cheryl, her 5 great-grandchildren Aulbrey, Alexis, Tyler, Austin and Donavon, her 5 siblings Marie, Bobby, Roger, Rick and Debbie and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her beloved Maltese Bella Snow. Bella joined the family in 2012, and she was a buddy and friend to both Pat and Don. After Don passed away in 2014, Bella continued to be a constant source of comfort and companionship for Pat.

A funeral service for Patricia will be held Thursday, March 16, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Hillsboro Memorial Funeral Home, 2323 West Brandon Blvd, Brandon, Florida 33511. Following the funeral service will be a committal service from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at Hillsboro Memorial Gardens, 2323 West Brandon Blvd., Brandon, Florida 33511.
