Perla G. Brandon, 63, of Riverview, Florida passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, the 2nd of June, 2018. Perla was one of six children and shouldered the burden to provide for those less fortunate throughout life. She met her husband, the late Wells W. Brandon Jr. while he served in the military. She came to the United States from the Philippines with their young daughter Ruby Michelle. Perla was a unique light in the darkness we face in life. She worked exhaustively hard her whole life, and dedicated all she had to her family, both here in the US, and abroad. She was proud of the direct line she had to the settlers of Brandon, FL and instilled that in all of her children. She retired in October 2017 after serving the Citizens of Hillsborough County for 30 years in the public works division. She served her Lord as a Eucharistic Minister, a responsibility she was humbled by, and honored to act upon. She is survived by her daughter Ruby Mahal, daughter-in-law Laycee Mahal, siblings Celi, Tim, Rick, and Rey; and step sons, William Brandon and Daniel Brandon. She was preceded in death by her parents Arsenio and Aquilena, husband Wells, brother Alex, and step son James Brandon. All who knew her were blessed by her presence and will deeply mourn her loss
