

Peter D. Soto died peacefully on August 3, 2025 in Wesley Chapel, FL at the age of 85. Pete is survived by his wife of 56 years, Sharon Soto, and his daughters and grandchildren. Hope Culp (daughter) and her husband Stephen, their children Zachary and Bryce Christina Uribe (daughter) and her husband Luis, their children Luis, Raquel, & Vanessa, and grandchildren Jaxon, Liam, Mila, and Lexi Michelle Flemming (daughter) and her husband Jeff, their children Chase and Bryce Christy Baroni (daughter) and her husband Merrick, their children Merrick and Mila. He is also survived by one sister, Gloria Orozco and her husband Sixto, along with a multitude of nieces and nephews.
Pete was born on October 6, 1939 in Saginaw, MI. He graduated from St Joseph’s High School and served in the US Air Force for 4 years. Pete & Sharon got married on Oct 18, 1969 and moved to FL in 1979. Pete found a church home in the Holy Innocents community. He was involved in youth ministry, cursillo, vestry, and member of the Order of St Luke Healing Ministry. He went on to help establish St Paul’s Episcopal Church and served on the altar. Pete truly had a servant’s heart and volunteered at Advent Health, Kids Pack, and Atonement Lutheran Church Food Pantry.
His funeral is scheduled for August 30, 2025 at 4pm at Holy Innocents Episcopal Church in Valrico, FL with a reception to follow in the Parish Hall. The Rev. Bryan O'Carroll will officiate the ceremony assisted by Rev. Mother Adrienne R. Hymes. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Pete’s life.
