Born on January 16, 1956, in Fort Jackson, South Carolina, Junior lived a life defined by dedication, service, and love for his family. In 1978, he enlisted in the United States Army, inspired by a desire to see the world, experience new cultures, and create opportunities for the family he dreamed of building. His years of military service reflected the values that guided his life—commitment, integrity, and selfless devotion to others.
While Junior took great pride in his service to his country, his greatest pride and joy were always his family. He shared 48½ wonderful years of marriage with the love of his life, Lourdes “Lulyn” Toro. Together they built a home filled with love, laughter, and unwavering support.
Junior was a devoted husband, a loving father, and a proud grandfather. He is survived by his beloved wife, Lourdes “Lulyn”; his daughters, Sonahia, Daphanie, and Agnes; and his cherished grandchildren, Naomi, Elijah, and Lexington.
To his daughters, Junior was the kind of father every child hopes to have—steadfast, dependable, and unconditionally present. No matter what life brought, they knew they could count on him. They will forever remember his warm smile, his signature mustache, and the bright twinkle in his eyes that reflected the kindness and joy he carried in his heart.
Junior found happiness in life's simple pleasures. He loved vintage cars, fishing, and talking about his experience in the Army. He never passed up the chance to enjoy a well-earned nap in his recliner. Around the neighborhood, he was a familiar and friendly face, often seen walking with his dog or spending time with his grandchildren. He was the neighbor who always stopped to say hello and the friend who was ready to lend a hand whenever someone needed help.
Though his family mourns his loss, they take comfort in the countless memories he leaves behind and in the example he set through a life well lived. His legacy of love, generosity, loyalty, and dedication to family will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know him.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Junior’s life on Thursday, June 18, 2026, at Hillsboro Memorial Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 2323 W. Brandon Blvd., Brandon, Florida 33511.

Forever loved, deeply missed, and never forgotten.
