Rafael Padin, 62, of Valrico, entered into rest Monday, May 6, 2013. He retired from the U.S. Postal service as a mail carrier. Rafael proudly served our country in the Navy and the Army. He loved salsa music and baseball. He is preceded in death by his father. Survivors include his loving and devoted wife of 25 years, Estela Cubano; daughter, Lynda Padin; mother, Carmen Carlucci; brothers, Eddie, Billy, and Johnny Carlucci; 3 grandchildren; father-in-law and mother-in-law, William and Blanca Cubano; sister-in-law, Ada Fitzpatrick; 3 brothers-in-law; and his aunts Lanchy and Mimi. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Thursday, May 9 and funeral service will be at 10 AM Friday, May 10. Both services will be held at Stowers Funeral Home, Brandon with burial at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell. Rafael will be missed deeply by his family and friends, but will live on in their hearts and memories.
